Privacy policy

This policy is a working draft written for clarity, not a substitute for legal advice. Have it reviewed by a qualified professional before relying on it.
What we collect
Account details: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and your college, branch and year of study. Faculty accounts also store department and designation.
Project details: the briefs, problem statements, files and messages you send us as part of a request or an order.
Billing records: invoices, payments and the reference a payment provider returns. We do not store card numbers, UPI credentials or bank details on our servers.
Technical records: an audit trail of actions taken on your orders, including the IP address they came from, kept so money and status changes can be traced.
Why we collect it
To quote, deliver and support the work you have asked for; to raise valid GST invoices; to attribute faculty referrals correctly; and to keep records we are required to keep.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone except where it is needed to deliver your order or where the law requires it.
Who can see your work
Your project is visible to you, to the developer assigned to it, and to our operations staff. It is not visible to other students, and it is not visible to the faculty member whose referral code you used: they see that an order exists and its status, not its contents.
How long we keep it
Account and project records are kept while your account is open and for a reasonable period afterwards. Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires.
You can ask us to delete your account. We will remove what we are not required to retain and tell you plainly what we have to keep and why.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to erase it where we are not obliged to keep it. Write to us and we will action it.
Security
Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. The site is served over HTTPS. Access to production data is limited to staff who need it. If we ever suffer a breach affecting your data, we will tell you.
Third parties
If you sign in with Google, Google confirms your identity to us; we receive your name, email address and profile picture, and nothing else. Payment providers process payments and return a reference. WhatsApp is used for support conversations you start.
